Newton Falls Tigers (Newton Falls, OH) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Champion Golden Flashes (Warren, OH), 75-41 in a league match.

With the victory, Newton Falls advances its record to 8-4 on the year. The Tigers host Southeast (Ravenna, OH) to meet the Pirates in a Mahoning Valley - Grey match on Thursday, January 16. The Pirates enter the match with a record of 7-5. Southeast won 58-30 in their recent league match against Liberty (Youngstown, OH)

The Golden Flashes now own a 3-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brookfield for a Mahoning Valley - Grey match on Thursday, January 16. Champion will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 66-63 league win over Garfield (Garrettsville, OH). The Warriors record now stands at 7-4.
