With the victory, Clay County advances its record to 4-2 on the year. The Bulldogs host Clarkrange (Clarkrange, TN) to meet the Buffaloes in a 1A District 7 battle on Friday, January 17. The Buffaloes enter the battle with a record of 11-8. Clarkrange won 67-52 in their recent non-league battle against Coalfield (Coalfield, TN)

The Tigers now own a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Greenbrier for a 3A District 9 battle on Tuesday, January 14. Macon County will meet a Bobcats squad coming off a 67-64 non-league loss to Sycamore (Pleasant View, TN). The Bobcats record now stands at 2-9.
