In Monday's non-league contest, the host Hale County Wildcats basketball team scored a close 70-63 triumph over the Paul W. Bryant Stampede.
The Wildcats (11-6) will now prepare for their contest against Greensboro (Greensboro, AL). The Raiders go into the 3A Area 7 contest with a 6-6 record.
In their next game, the Stampede battle the Brookwood Panthers (Brookwood, AL) in a 6A Area 6 contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Paul W. Bryant will attempt to better on its 15-6 season record.
