The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Kearsarge Cougars (North Sutton, NH) and the visiting Stevens Cardinals (Claremont, NH), observed Kearsarge's basketball team overwhelm Stevens by a score of 70-29.
The Cougars (8-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Newport (Newport, NH). The Tigers come into the Division III challenge with a 6-3 record. In their last challenge, Newport trounced Sunapee (Sunapee, NH), 84-43, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Cardinals battle the Windsor Yellowjackets (Windsor, VT) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 17. Stevens will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a 1-8 record after their 72-36 league loss to Hartford (White River Junction, VT).
