The Rector Cougars basketball team scored 70 points and limited the host Marmaduke Greyhounds to 44 in the Cougars league triumph on Monday.

The Cougars now have a 12-8 record. They play next when they travel to Riverside for a 2A Region 3 game on Tuesday, January 14. Rector will confront a Rebels team coming off a 65-54 league win over East Poinsett County (Lepanto, AR). The Rebels record now stands at 18-3.

With the loss, Marmaduke falls to 10-13 on the campaign. The Greyhounds host Cross County (Cherry Valley, AR) to confront the Thunderbirds in a 2A Region 3 game on Friday, January 17. The Thunderbirds go into the game with a record of 3-11. Cross County lost 76-61 in their recent league game against East Poinsett County (Lepanto, AR)
