In Monday's league contest, the visiting Pass Christian Pirates basketball team scored a big 64-26 triumph over the Poplarville Hornets.
The Pirates (12-8) will now prepare for their contest against Bay (Bay St. Louis, MS). The Tigers go into the 4A Region 8 contest with a 10-11 record. In their last contest, Bay was trounced by Moss Point (Moss Point, MS), 34-29, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Hornets confront the Stone Tomcats (Wiggins, MS) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 17. Poplarville will attempt to better on its 0-13 season record. The Tomcats go into the contest with a 7-9 record after their 59-41 league loss to Gautier (Gautier, MS).
