In Monday's non-league contest, the host Westmoreland Eagles basketball team scored a big 57-20 triumph over the Red Boiling Springs Bulldogs.
The Eagles (8-6) will now prepare for their contest against Liberty Creek (Gallatin, TN). The Wolves go into the 2A District 6 contest with a 12-6 record. In their last contest, Liberty Creek smashed Sycamore (Pleasant View, TN), 60-51, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Bulldogs confront the Clarkrange Buffaloes (Clarkrange, TN) in a 1A District 7 contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Red Boiling Springs will attempt to better on its 0-11 season record. The Buffaloes go into the contest with a 9-8 record after their 61-48 league loss to Gordonsville (Gordonsville, TN).
