Next, the Wranglers encounter the Poteet Pirates (Mesquite, TX) in a 5A Region II District 14 test, on Tuesday, January 14. West Mesquite will attempt to improve on its 17-3 season record. The Pirates come into the test with a 10-12 record after their 58-44 league win over Adams (Dallas, TX).

The Spartans (1-23) will now prepare for their test against Spruce (Dallas, TX). The Timberwolves come into the 5A Region II District 14 test with a 3-15 record. In their last test, Spruce was routed by North Mesquite (Mesquite, TX), 78-20, in a league test.
