The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the South Kingstown Rebels (Wakefield, RI) and the visiting Westerly Bulldogs (Westerly, RI), observed South Kingstown's basketball team knock off Westerly by a score of 67-58.

The Rebels (9-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Woonsocket (Woonsocket, RI). The Villa Novans come into the Division II challenge with a 1-9 record. In their last challenge, Woonsocket prevailed over Rogers (Newport, RI), 50-23, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Cranston East Thunderbolts (Cranston, RI) in a Division I challenge, on Friday, January 17. Westerly will attempt to improve on its 5-5 season record. The Thunderbolts come into the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 58-53 league loss to Shea (Pawtucket, RI).
