Next, the Pirates encounter the West Mesquite Wranglers (Mesquite, TX) in a 5A Region II District 14 test, on Tuesday, January 14. Poteet will attempt to improve on its 14-6 season record. The Wranglers come into the test with a 12-10 record after their 47-4 league win over Samuell (Dallas, TX).
