The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Elsberry Indians (Elsberry, MO) and the host Van-Far Indians (Vandalia, MO), observed Elsberry's basketball team overcome Van-Far by a margin of 38-26.

The Indians (4-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Louisiana (Louisiana, MO). The Bulldogs come into the Eastern Missouri challenge with a 4-3 record. In their last challenge, Louisiana defeated Wright City (Wright City, MO), 63-51, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Indians battle the South Shelby Cardinals (Shelbina, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Van-Far will attempt to better on its 4-6 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 13-0 record after their 65-62 non-league win over Northeast (Cairo, MO).
