In Monday's league contest, the host Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans basketball team scored a big 63-28 triumph over the Hanover Area Hawkeyes.

The Trojans (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Holy Redeemer (Wilkes-Barre, PA). The Royals go into the Wyoming Valley 2 contest with a 11-3 record. In their last contest, Holy Redeemer smashed Wyoming Area (Exeter, PA), 57-25, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Hawkeyes battle the MMI Preparatory School (Freeland, PA) in a Wyoming Valley 2 contest, on Saturday, January 18. Hanover Area will attempt to better on its 2-7 season record. The go into the contest with a 2-9 record after their 53-8 league loss to Lake-Lehman (Lehman, PA).
