In Monday's league contest, the visiting Velma-Alma Comets basketball team scored a good 37-27 win over the Ringling Blue Devils.

The Comets (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Empire (Duncan, OK). The Bulldogs come into the Oilfield contest with a 9-1 record. In their last contest, Empire defeated Burns Flat-Dill City (Burns Flat, OK), 52-36, in a non-league contest.
