The Sandies now hold a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to Plainview for a 5A Region 1 District 3 bout on Friday, January 17. Amarillo will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 9-0 league loss to Monterey (Lubbock, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, Coronado moves to 4-1 on the year. The Mustangs host Lubbock-Cooper (Lubbock, TX) to play the Pirates in a 5A Region 1 District 3 bout on Friday, January 17. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Lubbock-Cooper 1-1 in their recent league bout against Palo Duro (Amarillo, TX)
