Santiam Wolverines (Mill City, OR) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Delphian Dragons (Sheridan, OR), 53-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Santiam upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to Western Christian (Salem, OR) to play the Pioneers in a 2A Tri-River bout on Thursday, January 27. The Pioneers come into the bout with a record of 10-1.

Next up, the Dragons play the Salem Academy Crusaders (Salem, OR) in a 2A Tri-River bout, on Saturday, January 15. Delphian will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Crusaders come into the bout with a 5-3 record after their 54-44 league win over Sheridan (Sheridan, OR).
