The Elgin Wildcats basketball team (Elgin, TX), was overwhelmed 76-55 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Pflugerville Connally Cougars (Austin, TX)
The Cougars now possess a 17-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hendrickson for a 5A Region III District 18 battle on Tuesday, January 18. Pflugerville Connally will confront a Hawks team coming off a 60-46 league loss to Weiss (Pflugerville, TX). The Hawks record now stands at 8-17.
The Wildcats (11-14) will now prepare for their battle against Bastrop (Bastrop, TX). The Bears come into the 5A Region III District 18 battle with a 10-13 record. In their last battle, Bastrop was overwhelmed by Pflugerville (Pflugerville, TX), 83-50, in a league battle.
