North Side Steers (Fort Worth, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Poly Parrots (Fort Worth, TX), 38-34 in a league bout.

With the win, North Side upgrades its record to 5-12 on the season. The Steers travel to South Hills (Fort Worth, TX) to clash with the Scorpions in a 5A Region I District 7 bout on Tuesday, January 18. The Scorpions go into the bout with a record of 0-18. South Hills lost 100-29 in their recent league bout against Arlington Heights (Fort Worth, TX)

Next up, the Parrots clash with the Wyatt Chaparrals (Fort Worth, TX) in a 5A Region I District 7 bout, on Tuesday, January 18. Poly will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The Chaparrals go into the bout with a 10-9 record after their 43-38 league win over Southwest (Fort Worth, TX).
