The Holy Redeemer Royals (Wilkes-Barre, PA) basketball crushed the visiting Hanover Area Hawkeyes (Hanover Township, PA), 57-35 in Friday's non-league test.

The Royals (5-7) will now prepare for their bout against Delone Catholic (McSherrystown, PA). The Squires go into the non-league bout with a 10-0 record.

Next up, the Hawkeyes clash with the MMI Preparatory School (Freeland, PA) in a Wyoming Valley 3 bout, on Monday, January 17. Hanover Area will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The go into the bout with a 0-4 record after their 59-16 non-league loss to Marian Catholic (Tamaqua, PA).
