The Sequoyah Chiefs (Canton, GA) basketball crushed the visiting Johns Creek Gladiators (Johns Creek, GA), 75-50 in Friday's league test.

The Chiefs (13-4) will now prepare for their test against Hoover (Hoover, AL). The Buccaneers go into the non-league test with a 19-2 record. In their last test, Hoover walloped Tuscaloosa County (Northport, AL), 69-12, in a league test.

The Gladiators now own a 4-9 record. They play next when they travel to River Ridge for a AAAAAA Region 7 test on Tuesday, January 18. Johns Creek will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 77-30 league win over Centennial (Roswell, GA). The Knights record now stands at 16-1.
