The Pine Ridge Thorpes (Pine Ridge, SD) basketball nipped the visiting Little Wound Mustangs (Kyle, SD), 44-41 in Friday's league test.
The Thorpes (5-4) will now prepare for their test against Thunder Basin (Gillette, WY). The Bolts go into the non-league test with a 7-3 record. In their last test, Thunder Basin got by Green River (Green River, WY), 43-30, in a non-league test.
The Mustangs now own a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to Red Cloud for a A Region 7 test on Monday, January 17. Little Wound will encounter a Crusaders squad coming off a 79-60 league loss to Lakota Tech (Pine Ridge, SD). The Crusaders record now stands at 6-1.
