Texas High School Basketball - Port Isabel ripped by Rio Hondo

The Rio Hondo Bobcats basketball team scored 59 points and held the host Port Isabel Tarpons to 24 in the Bobcats league triumph on Friday.
The Bobcats now sport a 20-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Raymondville for a 4A Region IV District 32 contest on Tuesday, January 18. Rio Hondo will meet a Bearkats team coming off a 44-23 league win over Hidalgo (Hidalgo, TX). The Bearkats record now stands at 9-5.
The Tarpons (8-19) will now prepare for their contest against Grulla (Rio Grande City, TX). The Gators enter the 4A Region IV District 32 contest with a 6-13 record. In their last contest, Grulla was routed by La Feria (La Feria, TX), 42-32, in a league contest.
