Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Alamo Navajo Cougars (Magdalena, NM) and the visiting Mountainair Mustangs (Mountainair, NM), saw Alamo Navajo's basketball squad wallop Mountainair by a count of 79-49.

With the victory, Alamo Navajo upgrades its record to 13-4 on the campaign. The Cougars host Carrizozo (Carrizozo, NM) to play the Grizzlies in a A District 3 challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Grizzlies come into the challenge with a record of 1-14. Carrizozo lost 78-21 in their recent non-league challenge against Cliff (Cliff, NM)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Native American Community Academy Eagles (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 19. Mountainair will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record.
