Archbishop Rummel Raiders (Metairie, LA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Jesuit Blue Jays (New Orleans, LA), 48-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Archbishop Rummel upgrades its record to 17-7 on the season. The Raiders host St. Augustine (New Orleans, LA) to play the Purple Knights in a 5A District 9 bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Purple Knights go into the bout with a record of 10-11. St. Augustine won 57-54 in their recent non-league bout against Wright (New Orleans, LA)

Next up, the Blue Jays play the Brother Martin Crusaders (New Orleans, LA) in a 5A District 9 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Jesuit will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Crusaders go into the bout with a 12-6 record after their 57-50 league loss to John Curtis Christian (River Ridge, LA).
