Bear River Bruins (Grass Valley, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Center Cougars (Antelope, CA), 71-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Bear River upgrades its record to 7-11 on the season. The Bruins host Colfax (Colfax, CA) to play the Falcons in a Pioneer Valley League bout on Monday, January 16. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 6-7. Colfax lost 58-49 in their recent league bout against Center (Antelope, CA)

Next up, the Cougars play the Lindhurst Blazers (Olivehurst, CA) in a Pioneer Valley League bout, on Monday, January 16. Center will attempt to upgrade on its 5-13 season record. The Blazers go into the bout with a 5-9 record after their 50-47 league win over Wheatland (Wheatland, CA).
