Chester-Joplin-Inverness Hawks (Chester, MT) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Big Sandy Pioneers (Big Sandy, MT), 49-47 in a league bout.
With the win, Chester-Joplin-Inverness upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Hawks travel to Big Sandy (Big Sandy, MT) to play the Pioneers in a C District 9 bout on Saturday, February 11. The Pioneers go into the bout with a record of 8-2.
Next up, the Pioneers play the Chinook Beeters (Chinook, MT) in a C District 9 bout, on Thursday, January 19. Big Sandy will attempt to upgrade on its 8-2 season record. The Beeters go into the bout with a 2-5 record after their 49-38 league loss to Fort Benton (Fort Benton, MT).
