Nebraska High School Basketball - Bridgeport edges Mitchell

The Bridgeport Bulldogs (Bridgeport, NE) basketball nipped the host Mitchell Tigers (Mitchell, NE), 59-53 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Bulldogs (7-4) will now prepare for their test against Sutherland (Sutherland, NE). The Sailors go into the non-league test with a 0-8 record. In their last test, Sutherland was tipped by Cambridge (Cambridge, NE), 52-30, in a non-league test.

The Tigers now own a 4-9 record. They play next when they travel to Pine Bluffs for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 17. Mitchell will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 52-41 non-league win over Holyoke (Holyoke, CO). The Hornets record now stands at 12-2.
