The John Curtis Christian Patriots (River Ridge, LA) basketball nipped the host Brother Martin Crusaders (New Orleans, LA), 57-50 in Saturday's league test.
The Patriots (9-3) will now prepare for their test against Edna Karr (New Orleans, LA). The Cougars go into the 5A District 9 test with a 5-13 record. In their last test, Edna Karr was tipped by Eleanor McMain (New Orleans, LA), 47-42, in a non-league test.
The Crusaders now own a 12-6 record. They play next when they host Jesuit for a 5A District 9 contest on Tuesday, January 17. Brother Martin will battle a Blue Jays team coming off a 48-46 league loss to Archbishop Rummel (Metairie, LA). The Blue Jays record now stands at 8-7.
