In Saturday's non-league match, the host South Park Eagles basketball team scored a good 67-55 triumph over the Carrick Raiders.
In their next game, the Eagles face the Steel Valley Ironmen (Munhall, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 2 match, on Tuesday, January 17. South Park will attempt to move on its 4-7 season record. The Ironmen enter the match with a 5-8 record after their 86-47 league win over Sto-Rox (McKees Rocks, PA).
With the defeat, Carrick moves to 5-11 on the year. The Raiders host Perry Traditional Academy (Pittsburgh, PA) to face the Commodores in a Pittsburgh City match on Friday, January 20. The Commodores enter the match with a record of 4-10.
