Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Elizabethton Fighting Cyclones (Elizabethton, TN) and the visiting Science Hill Hilltoppers (Johnson City, TN), saw Elizabethton's basketball squad hold off Science Hill by a count of 48-43.

With the victory, Elizabethton upgrades its record to 6-7 on the campaign. The Fighting Cyclones travel to Tennessee (Bristol, TN) to play the Vikings in a 3A District 1 challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 15-5. Tennessee lost 76-74 in their recent league challenge against Sullivan East (Bluff City, TN)

Next up, the Hilltoppers play the Dobyns-Bennett Indians (Kingsport, TN) in a 4A District 1 challenge, on Friday, January 20. Science Hill will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record.
