Marshall Bobcats (Marshall, AR) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Izard County Cougars (Brockwell, AR), 63-32 in a league bout.

With the win, Marshall upgrades its record to 17-4 on the season. The Bobcats host White County Central (Judsonia, AR) to clash with the Bears in a 2A Region 2 bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 8-15. White County Central lost 53-42 in their recent league bout against Mt. Vernon-Enola (Mt. Vernon, AR)

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Mt. Vernon-Enola Warhawks (Mt. Vernon, AR) in a 2A Region 2 bout, on Wednesday, January 18. Izard County will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Warhawks go into the bout with a 12-11 record after their 53-42 league win over White County Central (Judsonia, AR).
