The Oark Hornets basketball team (Oark, AR), was overwhelmed 71-44 in Saturday's league battle with the visiting Jasper Pirates (Jasper, AR)
The Pirates now possess a 15-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Alpena for a 1A Region 1 East battle on Tuesday, January 17. Jasper will confront a Leopards team coming off a 65-60 league win over Lead Hill (Lead Hill, AR). The Leopards record now stands at 8-11.
The Hornets (2-13) will now prepare for their battle against Mount Judea (Mount Judea, AR). The Eagles come into the 1A Region 1 East battle with a 0-12 record. In their last battle, Mount Judea was overwhelmed by Deer (Deer, AR), 60-52, in a league battle.
