University Buccaneers (Johnson City, TN) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host KACHEA Wildcats (Kingsport, TN), 85-37 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, University upgrades its record to 7-6 on the campaign. The Buccaneers host Unicoi County (Erwin, TN) to play the Blue Devils in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a record of 16-5. Unicoi County won 66-54 in their recent non-league bout against Daniel Boone (Gray, TN)

Next up, the Wildcats play the White Academy Knights (Harrogate, TN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 20. KACHEA will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record.
