The Leake County Gators (Walnut Grove, MS) basketball nipped the visiting Sebastopol Bobcats (Sebastopol, MS), 82-75 in Saturday's league test.
The Gators (14-7) will now prepare for their test against Noxapater (Noxapater, MS). The Tigers go into the 1A Region 6 test with a 4-10 record. In their last test, Noxapater was tipped by Sebastopol (Sebastopol, MS), 69-59, in a league test.
The Bobcats now own a 5-9 record. They play next when they travel to French Camp Academy for a 1A Region 6 test on Tuesday, January 17. Sebastopol will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 79-28 league loss to McAdams (McAdams, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 1-4.
