The Watkins Memorial Warriors basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Licking Heights Hornets to 48 in the Warriors league triumph on Saturday.

The Warriors now sport a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Zanesville for a Licking County - Buckeye contest on Friday, January 20. Watkins Memorial will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 49-37 league win over Heath (Heath, OH). The Blue Devils record now stands at 2-11.

The Hornets (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against Walnut Ridge (Columbus, OH). The Scots enter the non-league contest with a 4-8 record. In their last contest, Walnut Ridge was nudged by Eastmoor Academy (Columbus, OH), 71-55, in a league contest.
