The Mankato West Scarlets basketball team scored 79 points and restricted the visiting Red Wing Wingers to 48 in the Scarlets non-league victory on Saturday.

The Scarlets now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Owatonna for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 17. Mankato West will battle a Huskies team coming off a 57-40 league win over John Marshall (Rochester, MN). The Huskies record now stands at 9-3.

The Wingers (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Albert Lea (Albert Lea, MN). The Tigers come into the AAA Section 1 contest with a 3-8 record.
