With the victory, McLaurin upgrades its record to 5-8 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Crystal Springs (Crystal Springs, MS) to play the Tigers in a 3A Region 6 challenge on Wednesday, January 18. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 5-6.

Next up, the Bulldogs play the St. Andrew's Episcopal Saints (Ridgeland, MS) in a 3A Region 6 challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Seminary will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Saints come into the challenge with a 12-8 record after their 57-55 non-league loss to Kemper County (DeKalb, MS).
