North Star Knights (Rudyard, MT) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Turner Tornadoes (Turner, MT), 48-41 in a league bout.

With the victory, North Star upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Big Sandy (Big Sandy, MT) to play the Pioneers in a C District 9 bout on Saturday, February 4. The Pioneers come into the bout with a record of 8-2.

Next up, the Tornadoes play the Fort Benton Longhorns (Fort Benton, MT) in a C District 9 bout, on Friday, January 20. Turner will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Longhorns come into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 49-38 league win over Chinook (Chinook, MT).
