Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Okolona Chieftains (Okolona, MS) and the visiting Vardaman Rams (Vardaman, MS), saw Okolona's basketball squad overcome Vardaman by a tally of 57-46.

With the victory, Okolona improves its record to 6-10 on the campaign. The Chieftains host East Webster (Maben, MS) to confront the Wolverines in a non-league challenge on Sunday, January 15. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a record of 5-4.

Next up, the Rams confront the Hamilton Lions (Hamilton, MS) in a 1A Region 4 challenge, on Friday, January 20. Vardaman will attempt to improve on its 0-16 season record.
