Colorado High School Basketball - Rangely can't hold off Vail Mountain

The Vail Mountain Gore Rangers basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Rangely Panthers to 47 in the Gore Rangers league triumph on Saturday.

The Gore Rangers now sport a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Middle Park for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 17. Vail Mountain will battle a Panthers team coming off a 52-32 league win over Arrupe Jesuit (Denver, CO). The Panthers record now stands at 8-4.

The Panthers (5-5) will now prepare for their contest against Caprock Academy (Grand Junction, CO). The Eagles enter the 2A/1A Western Slope contest with a 3-6 record. In their last contest, Caprock Academy was nudged by Vail Christian (Edwards, CO), 59-40, in a league contest.
