Spectators at Saturday's league test between the Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA) and the host Monte Vista Monarchs (Spring Valley, CA), witnessed Helix's basketball squad beat Monte Vista by a margin of 62-44.

The Highlanders (12-2) will now prepare for their test against Valhalla (El Cajon, CA). The Norsemen go into the test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Valhalla thwarted El Capitan (Lakeside, CA), 45-36, in a league test.

The Monarchs now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to El Capitan for a test on Saturday, January 21.
