North Carolina High School Basketball - Hertford County trounces Bertie

January 14, 2023: Windsor, NC 27983

The Hertford County Bears (Ahoskie, NC) basketball crushed the host Bertie Falcons (Windsor, NC), 48-22 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Bears (10-3) will now prepare for their test against Currituck County (Barco, NC). The Knights go into the 2A/3A Conference 15 test with a 6-7 record. In their last test, Currituck County was trounced by Northeastern (Elizabeth City, NC), 79-27, in a league test.

The Falcons now own a 3-9 record. They play next when they host Perquimans for a 1A Conference 2 test on Tuesday, January 17. Bertie will encounter a Pirates squad coming off a 32-11 league win over Riverside-Martin (Williamston, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 11-2.
