The Cook Hornets basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the visiting Jeff Davis Yellowjackets to 29 in the Hornets league victory on Saturday.
The Hornets now sport a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tift County for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 17. Cook will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 58-40 league win over Lee County (Leesburg, GA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 11-4.
The Yellowjackets (1-14) will now prepare for their contest against Atkinson County (Pearson, GA). The Rebels come into the non-league contest with a 3-15 record. In their last contest, Atkinson County was routed by Bacon County (Alma, GA), 59-18, in a non-league contest.
