Dalton Catamounts (Dalton, GA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Ringgold Tigers (Ringgold, GA), 48-30 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Dalton upgrades its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Catamounts host Woodland (Cartersville, GA) to play the Wildcats in a AAAAA Region 7 bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 2-14. Woodland lost 63-13 in their recent league bout against Calhoun (Calhoun, GA)

Next up, the Tigers play the Ridgeland Panthers (Rossville, GA) in a AAA Region 6 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Ringgold will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 7-10 record after their 65-50 league win over LaFayette (LaFayette, GA).
