Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the McGehee Owls (McGehee, AR) and the host Dumas Bobcats (Dumas, AR), saw McGehee's basketball squad knock off Dumas by a count of 45-33.

With the victory, McGehee upgrades its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Owls host Harmony Grove (Camden, AR) to play the Hornets in a 3A Region 8 challenge on Wednesday, January 18. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 2-1.

Next up, the Bobcats play the Dollarway Cardinals (Pine Bluff, AR) in a 3A Region 8 challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Dumas will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record.
