Oregon High School Basketball - Irrigon topples Grant Union

In Saturday's league outing, the Irrigon Knights (Irrigon, OR) basketball squad beat the visiting Grant Union Prospectors (John Day, OR), by a count of 50-40.
The Knights (9-4) will now prepare for their outing against Trout Lake (Trout Lake, WA). The Mustangs go into the non-league outing with a 5-4 record. In their last outing, Trout Lake was topped by South Wasco County (Maupin, OR), 63-54, in a league outing.
The Prospectors now hold a 1-11 record. They play next when they travel to Stanfield for a 2A Blue Mountain outing on Friday, January 20. Grant Union will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 59-20 league win over Heppner (Heppner, OR). The Tigers record now stands at 14-1.
