In Saturday's league outing, the Middletown South Eagles (Middletown, NJ) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Howell Rebels (Farmingdale, NJ), by a margin of 54-28.

The Eagles (3-7) will now prepare for their outing against Red Bank Catholic (Red Bank, NJ). The Caseys go into the Shore A - Central outing with a 12-1 record. In their last outing, Red Bank Catholic was trounced by Long Island Lutheran (Brookville, NY), 71-46, in a non-league outing.

The Rebels now own a 10-3 record. They play next when they host Manalapan for a Shore A - North outing on Tuesday, January 17. Howell will clash with a Braves squad coming off a 60-40 non-league win over Southern Regional (Manahawkin, NJ). The Braves record now stands at 2-7.
