In Saturday's league outing, the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears (Orange, TX) basketball squad beat the visiting Jasper Bulldogs (Jasper, TX), by a margin of 55-46.

The Bears (23-5) will now prepare for their outing against West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX). The Mustangs go into the 4A Region III District 19 outing with a 3-10 record. In their last outing, West Orange-Stark was topped by Silsbee (Silsbee, TX), 68-35, in a league outing.

The Bulldogs now own a 12-9 record. They play next when they host Bridge City for a 4A Region III District 19 outing on Tuesday, January 17. Jasper will clash with a Cardinals squad coming off a 51-43 league loss to Lumberton (Lumberton, TX). The Cardinals record now stands at 6-10.
