The Maple River Eagles basketball team (Mapleton, MN), was toppled 78-70 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host St. James Saints (St. James, MN)
The Saints now possess a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Ulm for a AAA Section 2 battle on Monday, January 16. St. James will confront a Eagles team coming off a 84-68 non-league win over Plainview-Elgin-Millville (Elgin, MN). The Eagles record now stands at 10-3.
The Eagles (9-4) will now prepare for their battle against Watertown-Mayer (Watertown, MN). The Royals come into the non-league battle with a 9-10 record.
