Oakwood Lumberjacks (Dayton, OH) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Monroe Hornets (Monroe, OH), 47-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Oakwood improves its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Lumberjacks travel to Bishop Fenwick (Franklin, OH) to play the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 7-7. Bishop Fenwick lost 48-41 in their recent non-league challenge against Edgewood (Trenton, OH)

Next up, the Hornets play the Harrison Wildcats (Harrison, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 16. Monroe will attempt to improve on its 3-8 season record.
