New London Bulldogs (New London, WI) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Shawano Community Hawks (Shawano, WI), 56-51 in a league bout.

With the victory, New London upgrades its record to 12-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Green Bay West (Green Bay, WI) to play the Wildcats in a Bay bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Hawks play the Menasha Bluejays (Menasha, WI) in a Bay bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Shawano Community will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Bluejays come into the bout with a 8-6 record after their 63-16 league win over Green Bay East (Green Bay, WI).
